dx consolidtaes Runscape deployment

As a long term hosting partner of Jagex (publishers of the MMORPG Runscape) dx was able to help in the consolidation of the dx Las Vegas and dx London installations. By leveraging existing capacity dx was able to offer Jagex a solution that met their immediate needs and tripled the bandwidth capacity of the UK Runescape servers. The dx Tier 4 UK Runescape server farm now has access to hundreds of Mbs of IP transit to satisfy the growing popularity of the 6 million active player Runescape MMO.

dx is pleased to announce that following the successful trial of services Groove games will launch it’s European SkillGround service powered by dx.

Based in dx’s London data centre the service will take advantage of 24/7, 356 support and the connectivity of dx’s multi homed fibre network.

dx boosts Wolfenstein

dx, a leading specialist game hosting provider, is proud to announce that it has taken over web-hosting duties for respected award winning UK developer Splash Damage. Best known for the hugely popular online FPS, Wolfenstein: Enemy TerritoryTM, Splash Damage is currently working on Enemy Territory: Quake WarsTM, an online strategic shooter set in the Quake universe, which is being developed in collaboration with id Software and Activision.

The deal sees Splash Damage's popular website hosted by dx, as well as the provision of additional hardware and bandwidth for Splash Damage's game servers.
